Derrick Begay and Cory Petska had a big weekend, banking $12,088 in earnings. They won the Mountain Valley Stampede in Heber City, Utah with 4.0-second-run, worth $3,907 each. They also won the War Bonnet Roundup Rodeo in Idaho Falls, Idaho after roping their steer in 4.6 seconds to add $3,215 to each man’s earnings. At the Big Sky Pro Rodeo Roundup in Great Falls, Montana, Begay and Petska placed fourth in the first round with a 4.8-second-run, worth $648 each, second in the second round with a 4.5-second-run, worth $1,111 each and second in the average with a time of 9.3 seconds on two head, worth $1,666 each. The duo placed fifth at the Richland County Fair & Rodeo in Sidney, Montana with a 5.5-second-run, worth $1,541 each. Begay is now 18th in the PRCA World Standings with $44,223.29 won. Petska is ninth with $58,165.63.

Jr. Dees and Cody Cowden won the Dodge City Roundup Rodeo after roping three head in 16.8 seconds, worth $4,038 each. They won the first round with a 4.7-second-run, worth $2,692 each, sixth in the second round with a 5.5-second-run, worth $936 each, and sixth in the finals round with a 6.6-second-run, worth $170 each. They also tied Adam Rose and J.W. Beck for second at Kansas’ Biggest Rodeo in Phillipsburg, Kansas with a 4.3-second-run, worth $3,106 each. They placed 10th at the War Bonnet Roundup Rodeo with a 5.7-second-run, worth $169 each. Dees is now 12th in the PRCA World Standings with $49,841.62. Cowden is 14th with $46,235.97.

Kolton Schmidt and Cole Davison won the War Bonnet Roundup Rodeo after knocking down two head in 9.0 seconds, worth $2,013 each. They tied Hayes Smith and Justin Davis for second in the first round with a 4.7-second-run, worth $995 a man. They won the second round with a fast run of 4.3 seconds, worth $1,342 each. At the North Peace Stampede in Grimshaw, Alberta  Schmidt and Davison tied Jesse Popescul and Wyatt Eirikson for second with a 5.2-second-run, worth $753 each. They placed fourth at the High Prairie (Alberta) Elks Pro Rodeo with a 5.5-second-run, worth $737 each. Schmidt is in the top 30 with $36,031.12 won. Davison is in the top 20 with $41,370.74.

Jake Cooper and Logan Medlin won the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo in Castle Rock, Colorado with a 5.1-second-run, worth $2,508 each. They placed second at the War Bonnet Roundup Rodeo with a 4.7-second-run, worth $2,876 each. Then at Kansas’ Biggest Rodeo, they placed ninth with a 4.8-second-run, worth $582 each. Spencer Mitchell and Clay O’Brien Cooper won the Wild Bill Hickok Rodeo in Abilene, Kansas after roping in 4.3 seconds, worth $3,036 each.
