The Fourth-of-July run is just kicking off and teams are already putting up BIG numbers. Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira were once again the high-money earners of the last seven days, pulling in $9,780 each and moving them both into the top 15 for the first time since they left the PRCA for the Elite Rodeo Athletes Premier Tour. They’re unmistakably back in the mix and climbing back into world title contention, even without the money they earned during the lawsuit. 

Garrett Tonozzi and Wyatt Cox got the win in Reno, bolstering their place in the PRCA’s world standings with $8,783 won per man. Third in the earnings totals are Luke Brown and Jake Long, who won the first round at Pecos, won second in the second round at Reno and are placing at Greeley. They’re buddied with Colby Lovell and Travis Graves over the Fourth and sharing horses and rides, and Lovell and Graves are winning the first round of Greeley after the slack. Kolton Schmidt and Shay Carroll were north of the border this weekend, but that didn’t stop them from picking up $6,418 a man in earnings in Sundre and Wainwright, Alb.

Dustin Bird and Russell Cardoza also took the northern route this week, with Bird adding tie-down roping to his list of events worked, adding another $4,849 to his Rodeo Pay account and shooting him into the top 10 of the PRCA’s all-around race. In the team roping the duo earned $4,137 each at two rodeos while they stay in Canada another few days to hit Ponoka and Airdre before heading to Cody and Livingston.
