The Riata Championship is the richest and largest Ariat World Series of Team Roping qualifier on the calendar, offering $1.8 million in added money and more than $4 million projected in total payout.
New in 2025, Riata has expanded age eligibility with the 7 & Under incentive in the #9.5; now allowing three total entries per roper per Championship (with at least one incentive entry); refined formats across all divisions to keep rounds moving faster and horses fresh; and $50,000 guaranteed to first in the incentives.

Consign to the Riata Showcase Sale
The Riata Showcase Horse Sale will take place Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, at the South Point Equestrian Center in Las Vegas. The sale will begin at 10 a.m., with the Riata Open to the World kicking off at 3 p.m.
The sale preview will immediately follow the Key Card roping scheduled at the end of the day on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025.
The deadline to enter a consignment horse into the sale is Sept. 1, 2025.
If you have a Riata horse you would like to consign to the sale, please complete a consignment application at https://riatabuckle.thesalecompany.org. Rope horses offered for sale should be finished rope horses or well into their training.
