How advancement works

The PWR Championship runs four days at Cowtown Coliseum, with the field narrowing across each stage:

Round 1 and Round 2 (May 12-13): Up to 50 teams compete in each division. From there, 12 teams advance to the semifinals on three criteria:

  • Round 1 top 2 fastest times
  • Round 2 top 2 fastest times
  • Aggregate top 8 fastest times on two head

Semifinal Round (May 14): A 16-team field per division—the 12 advancers from Round 1 and 2 plus the W26 Leaderboard top 4 (auto-seeded). Teams rope one head with paychecks awarded for the round and an aggregate payout on three head. Six teams per division punch through to the championship: the semifinal-round winner plus the top 5 fastest 3-round aggregate times.

See the Full PWR Advancement Chart

Championship Round (May 15): Twelve teams total—6 Pro and 6 Challenger—rope one head for the title.

W26 Leaderboard rank gets priority for qualification and will not drop down to fill vacated Qualifier Series spots.

Field rounds out with W26 Leaderboard top 4 seeded directly into the semifinals.

The PWR semifinal field per division is 16 teams: the W26 Leaderboard’s top 4 (auto-seeded based on combined team points) plus 12 advancers from the qualifying rounds. Those 12 spots fill in this order: top 2 fastest times in Round 1, top 2 fastest times in Round 2, and the top 8 fastest combined times on two head. When teams overlap categories — for example, a Round 1 winner who also leads the aggregate — the duplicate slot rolls to the next eligible team in that category. Any aggregate spots left unfilled (when fewer than 8 teams catch on two head) go to the next eligible teams by W26 Leaderboard team points. Ties advance both teams up to one position beyond the cutoff; round paychecks are split for tied times.
