Tyler Tryan and Nicky Northcott cashed in on all but one run the week of June 10-14, 2026, and they’re keeping things rolling heading into the Reno Rodeo.
The young guns cashed in $14,734 a man during a six-day stretch that started in Woodward, Oklahoma, June 8. While Woodward wasn’t profitable for Tryan and Northcott, it was the ball that got their big week rolling.
Tryan, 20, and Northcott, 19, headed west to Driggs, Idaho, for the slack June 11. There they picked up $911 apiece at the Ridgeview Pro Rodeo for their 6.0-second run. Idaho remained a success for the team as they won sixth at the Eagle Rodeo with a 5.3 for $2,223 a man June 12. Tryan and Northcott kept things rolling into Oregon, winning the Klamath River Round Up in Klamath Falls June 13, with a 3.9 for $4,035 a man. Their biggest check of the week, however, came that evening at the Sisters Rodeo in Oregon where their 5.0-second run added another $7,565 apiece to their earnings.
While Tryan has been hanging out inside the Top 15 since March, their $14,734-a-man week was essential for Northcott, skyrocketing him from 27th in the 2026 PRCA world standings to 13th. Tryan currently sits No. 7 in the world with $53,973.78 while Nothcott sits No. 13 with $42,367.37.
They’ve kept their momentum rolling into the week of June 15, too. Tryan and Northcott split eighth in Round 1 of the Snake River Stampede in Nampa, Idaho, with a 4.6-second run in the slack June 15. They pocketed $183 apiece before posting an 8.7 in Round 2 to now sit fourth in the aggregate with a 13.3 on two head. They also opened the Reno Rodeo in the slack June 19, setting the pace in Round 1 with a 5.1-second run. They’ll rope their second steer later tonight, June 19, as they look to add to an already productive month.
Tryan and Northcott didn’t team up in 2026 until after the California spring run in April. Tryan, the 2024 Resistol Rookie Header of the Year who earned $79,694.85 during his rookie campaign, started the season with five-time NFR heeler Levi Lord, whom he won the 2026 BFI with in March for $160,000. Northcott opened the year with two-time World Champion Clay Smith after spending majority of the 2025 season behind him to claim 2025 Resistol Rookie Heeler of the Year honors with $111,029.01. Northcott finished just outside the Top 15 at No. 16 in the world standings last year in his rookie season. Since the inception of their partnership in May, Tryan and Northcott have won $26,776 apiece.
While their 2026 partnership is relatively new, their run is not. Both Tryan and Northcott grew up on the road watching their world champion dads: three-time World Champion Clay Tryan and 1996 World Champion and 10-time NFR qualifier Steve Northcott. In 2019, the new generation of Tryans and Northcotts won the 2019 USTRC Cinch National Finals of Team Roping Ram $100,000 Bonus Event #10.5.
