Ryan Motes’ Heeling Theory

On this bonus Roping.com tips episode of “The Short Score,” Ryan Motes explains his theories on heeling and competition.

Listen now:

“There’s certain things that need to go right in every run, but they don’t all have to go right in any particular run. Sometimes we get caught up in checking off the list, 1, 2, 3, and 4. Most of the time, we want to have good position, we want to have a good swing, we want to be in timing well with the steer, but we don’t have to have, you know, as long as we got 75% going right, a lot of times we can still make it catch, right?”
