The Score: Season 2, Episode 18 with Justin Davis
NFR qualifier Justin Davis on "The Score," a podcast by The Team Roping Journal.

It’s been some 10 years since Cottonwood, California’s Justin Davis rode into the box at the Thomas & Mack with Blaine Linaweaver.

But in that decade, Davis has made two iconic horses—both mares, not too coincidentally—in Lil Kim and Shakira. He’s won the Columbia River Circuit Finals a couple times, and he’s been on the brink of an NFR trip more than once—to no avail. So at 31 years old, Davis is smashing down his hat on a career in sales, while seasoning the next great mare to come through his horse program. He and long-time friend Brandon Beers are circuit rodeoing and amateur rodeoing when both men’s thriving business careers allow, and they’re both using their long-time industry connections to help them excel. Davis stopped to talk with us between visits to feed yards and ranches, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed by the conversation.
