From NFR heeler Matt Robertson, his wife Rachel and her family comes Double-Tree Performance Horses, whose history in the cattle and horse business is deeply rooted in Montana’s history. The Double-Tree brand has been in Rachel’s family for over one hundred years and is now the symbol of their performance horse program.
“I think one thing that makes us stand out in today’s world is that we really are a family-run program that does everything in-house, from breeding mares to producing nished rope horses,” stated Rachel Robertson.
Rachel and her mother, Barbara Campbell, run the breeding operation headquartered at the ranch in Montana. Adding some of the best bloodlines in the industry through their proven broodmare herd, together they run every aspect of the breeding operation.
With a proven competitive resume from a NIRA championship to the NFR, Matt Robertson handles the training end of things, from starting colts to finishing rope horses and trained the 2006 AQHA/ PRCA Head Horse of the Year. The family, which includes Faith, 20 months, and Wesley, 1 month, winters at their training facility in Wickenburg, Arizona.
“We are a young breeding program, but we offer some of the best bloodlines in the industry to excel in the rodeo arena” stated Robertson.
Their main stallion, Guyz Power Pak, is straight from rodeo royalty, sired by Frenchmans Guy and out of a daughter of Paddys Irish Whiskey who has produced over $500,000 in earnings in roping and barrels.
