Joseph Harrison added another massive payday to his already million-dollar futurity résumé, winning the clean-slate short round of the 2025 Solo Select Incentive Futurity Heeling on Dont Stopp Trackin with a 311.34 to take home $100,000 from the Circle T Arena in Hamilton, Texas Oct. 2.

The 4-year-old stallion, owned by Roper C. Goodson, is by Dont Stopp Believin and out of Marking Your Tracks by Whizen By You. The horse, affectionately nicknamed “Batman,” is a recent addition to Harrison’s lineup but showed up big when it counted. Prior to the win, Dont Stopp Trackin had just $3,188 in earnings, making this his breakout moment.

“I’ve only had him six weeks or so,” Harrison said. “Roper did a great job seasoning him. Our first show was Decatur, and he got better every run, and he kept that up here. He just got better all day.”
In a brand-new-to-futurities format that wiped the slate clean for the short round, Harrison had three horses in the mix and came into the short round with a clear strategy.
“I told myself I was going to turn the dial to 10 on every one of them,” Harrison said. “You’ve got to max them out if you’ve only got one run to get paid.”
Dont Stopp Trackin handled the pressure with poise, standing out to the judges by more than three points over Harrison’s second-place mount, Stunnerr.
“He just looks cool. When he sashes across the front of the box, they like the way he moves,” Harrison explained. “And he can really run. I got down the arena, put my hand in his mane and let him read the cow. The ground was tough, but he dragged his butt and got in the ground when a lot of others couldn’t.”
He credited his header, Clay Smith, with setting up a winning run.
“I didn’t tell Clay anything—he just came up and said, ‘We need to make a good one here,'” Harrison said. “After the first steer didn’t go our way, he settled in and made the kind of run he always does, and we got paid.”
Though Dont Stopp Trackin is still relatively new to Harrison’s program, the fit is working.
“He’s broke, he’s talented, and he’s made uphill, so he drags his butt naturally. I’d bet I’ll be showing him the rest of this year and next,” Harrison said.
The Solo Select Incentive Futurity required that the owner or rider had purchased a breeding to a Solo Select stallion to be eligible, a stipulation designed to reward investment in elite bloodlines and competition-ready horses.
With another major win added to his 2025 campaign, Harrison continues to set the standard in futurity heeling—this time with a young stallion who’s just getting started.
