The heel horse field in the 2025 Cheyenne Frontier Days team roping finals is predictably cowy, with some standout futurity horses slipping into the field this year.

Joseph Harrison will ride his TX Best Futurity Champion heel horse Doc Joe Frost, while Wesley Thorp will rope last out on Juiced Up Cat, the gelding he won the 2020 ARHFA World Championship aboard.

Meanwhile, Blaine Vick will catch a ride on the Brown family’s Mr Spanish Ray, the same horse Billy Bob leant to Kirby Blankenship when they won the title at Cheyenne in 2023.
