With nearly $500K in ProRodeo earnings and two NFR go-round wins to his name, Hanson is a National Finals Rodeo header and deadly switch-ender who knows good horses, too. Born into the horse industry, Merrill was raised showing horses in a variety of disciplines and, after graduating from military school, he began training horses professionally. He currently owns and operates Tyler Merrill Performance Hoses, where he specializes in cutting, roping and cow horses.
