The Animal—a son of Cat Ichi out of Little Miss Abra by Abrakadabracre—earned his place in the history books as the NCHA Futurity Reserve Champion and Summer Spectacular Open Derby Champion with Lee Francois. 

Now, with his oldest foals turning 6 in 2026, he’s proving to be one of the most versatile young sires in the game.

His colts are making money in heading, heeling and breakaway futurities, ridden by legends and rising stars alike—Fred Whitfield, Tyler Worley, Lari Dee Guy and Hope Thompson.

Worley said, “I can break in 40 steers on him and jackpot that night. He’s that solid.”

The Animal is now breeding mares owned by World Champions Tyler Wade, Wesley Thorp and Thompson, building a book that matches his momentum. His offspring are eligible for over $10 million in incentive money, including Solo Roping, Cow Horse and Cutting, alongside the Riata, Royal Crown, Pink Buckle, Ruby Buckle and more.
