The top 20 American Rope Horse Futurity World Show 6 & Under heel horses have been decided.
126 horses battled it out across three rounds for a spot in the Saturday, Nov. 1, short round.
- In the heeling finals, Clyde Bolejack has the most horses coming back to the finals with three. He will kick off the short round with Fancy Like Reyzhell at the 20th call and Metallic Zee at the 19th call, followed by Playing Tuff at the seventh call.
- Owners DT Horses and X Performance Horses each have two horses coming back to Saturday’s final round. DT Horses, whose horses are ridden by Jeremy Buhler, will start with DT Get Yer Mask On at the fourth call position and end with DT Hickorys Angus in the high call position.
- Tied at the top for breeders with the most heel horses coming back to the finals is DT Horses, Kit and Charlie Moncrief and the San Juan Ranch. DT Horses have both DT Get Yer Mask On and DT Hickorys Angus, both with Buhler. The Moncrief’s will have Hot Add Spicey at the 10 high call position and Playing Tuff at seventh high call. The San Juan Ranch has SJR Diamond Eve with Billie Jack Saebens and SJR Diamond Ombre with Wesley Thorp.
- The short round is split with 10 mares, eight geldings and two stallions.
- CD Diamond leads the list of sires with the most offspring in the 6 & Under heading and heeling with three. His son SJR Diamond Ombre and Wesley Thorp will rope at the ninth high call position in the heeling finals, as well as his daughter SJR Diamond. CD Diamond is the fifth all-time leading AQHA rope horse stallion with $1,051,908 in offspring earnings.
