Pro Rodeo Results Wrap-Up: Mitchell Wins $12,980; Smith and Corkill Win RMV Rodeo AND MORE
Spencer Mitchell adds $11,004 of $12,980 to his season earnings. Clay Smith and Jade Corkill hit big with Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo win. Erich Rogers and Paden Bray win Kennewick, Washington and more.

With just over a month left in the PRCA’s regular season, Spencer Mitchell mounted a challenge to the rest of the headers on the bubble by winning $12,980—$11,004 in official money—to leap from 26th in the world to 19th.

Mitchell roped with three different partners to accomplish the feat. He placed second at the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo in San Juan Capistrano, California with Tyler Worley roping their steer in 4.6-seconds, worth $8,310 a man. He then roped with Cody Cowden to win the Norco (California) Mounted Posse PRCA Rodeo with a 4.4-second run, worth $1,976 a man, which Mitchell made unofficial towards his PRCA earnings. 

Mitchell then roped with regular-season partner Cody Doescher at the Horse Heaven / Kennewick (Washington) Round-Up where they placed sixth in the average with a time of 18.7-seconds on three head, worth $1,516 a man. They placed seventh in the second round with a 5.2-second run, worth $632 a man, and placed fourth in the final round with a 6.6-second run, worth $546 a man.

Doescher also roped with 2016 World Champion header Levi Simpson at the Gem State Stampede in Coeur D Alene, Idaho. They tied Travis Tryan and Justin Viles for second with a 4.9-second run, worth $2,406 a man. 

Mitchell’s PRCA world standings total is now $54,482.12. Doescher is 25th with $44,321.39. 

Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira each moved up one spot, from fifth to fourth, in the PRCA world standings after adding $7,329 to their earnings and each having $93,037.06 won.

They placed second in the average at the Horse Haven / Kennewick Round-Up with a 17.3-second run, worth $3,791 a man. They placed fourth in the first round with a 5.3-second run, worth $1,769 a man, and tied Jeff Flenniken and Tyler Worley and Dawson and Dillon Graham for third in the second round with a 5.0-second run, worth $1,769 a man.

Worley, with his multiple weekend placings, jumped from 17th to 14th with $62,515.66. The Arkansas heeler who is now inside the top 15 would be a first-time NFR qualifier if the season ended today.

Clay Smith and Jade Corkill had one big hit over the weekend. They dominated the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo with a lightning fast 4.5-second run, adding $9,287 to each of their earnings.

Smith is running away with the number-one spot of the PRCA world standings with $132,338.38 in season earnings. Corkill jumped one spot to sixth in the heeling standings with $90,464.09.

2017 World Champion Header Erich Rogers and 2019 Resistol Rookie heeling earnings leader Paden Bray added $13,367 to their season earnings, putting both men into serious NFR contention. Rogers moved from 17th to 12th in the PRCA world standings with $67,544.80. Bray is just outside the top 15 with $59,961.84, and is remain untouchable with the Resistol Rookie race with $59,961.84.

They won the average at the Horse Heaven / Kennewick Round-Up with a time of 17.3-seconds on three head, worth $4,360 to their earnings. They took the lead early on, winning the first round with a 4.5-second run, worth $2,906 a man, and tied Jake Stanley and Bucky Campbell for fifth in the final round with a 6.9-second run, worth $273 a man. 

They placed fifth at the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo with a 5.1-second run, adding $5,377 to their earnings, and placed ninth at the Gem State Stampede with a 6.0-second run, worth $451 a man.

2019 Resistol Rookie standings leader Kal Fuller and his partner Kasper Roy added $8,709 to their seasons earnings by winning the Kitsap Stampede in Bremerton, Washington with a 3.4-second run, worth $4,867 a man. They placed second at the Okotoks Pro Rodeo in Millarville, Alberta with a 5.2-second run, worth $936 a man, then won the second round at the Horse Haven / Kennewick Round-Up with a 4.5-second run, worth $2,906 a man. 

Fuller jumped from 44th to 38th in the PRCA world standings and continues to lead the Resistol Rookie race with $33,896.94. Roy is now 48th in the PRCA world standings with $23,898.17. 

Two-time NFR header Garrett Rogers added a total of $6,768 to his earnings after roping with Garrett Busby and Coleby Payne

Rogers and Busby won the Gem State Stampede with a 4.8-second run, worth $2,858 a man. Rogers then roped with Payne at the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo where they tied Matt Sherwood and Hunter Koch for sixth with a 5.2-second run, adding $3,910 to each man’s earnings. 

Rogers is 22nd in the PRCA world standings with $51,122.36. Payne is 35th with $36,887.89.

Ty Blasingame roped with Cole Davison and regular season parter Brandon Bates to add $5,821 to his season earnings, holding onto the number-two spot in the PRCA world standings with $99,933.45. Davison is 18th with $56,046.59. Bates is 32nd with $38,742.54.

Blasingame and Davison roped at the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo to place ninth with a 6.4-second run, worth $1,466 a man. Then Blasingame and Bates placed second at the Kitsap Stampede with a 3.7-second run, worth $4,355 a man.

Matt Sherwood and Hunter Koch tied Rogers and Payne for sixth at the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo with a 5.2-second run, worth $3,910 a man, then placed third at the Norco Mounted Posse PRCA Rodeo with a 5.0-second run, worth $1,295 a man. 

Sherwood and Koch added $5,205 to their earnings. Sherwood is 13th in the PRCA world standings with $64,619.06. Koch is 10th with $74,806.21.
