Smith and Dobbins Lead 2020 Resistol Rookie Standings Heading Into Summer
Britt Smith and Zak Dobbins take an early lead in the 2020 Resistol Rookie race.

Because of the COVID-19 crisis and rodeo cancellations, the Resistol Rookie race was put on hold, but with rodeos kicking off in some parts of the country, the Resistol Rookie contenders are once again working toward their once-in-a-lifetime goals to be crowned Resistol Rookie Header and Heeler of the Year. 

Broken Bow, Oklahoma’s Britt Smith, who is the youngest of the Smith brothers, has an early lead in the Resistol Rookie Heading standings with $6,510.20 in PRCA Pro Rodeo earnings. Smith is heading for his older brother, Jake Smith. 

Bay Minette, Alabama’s Zak Dobbins moves into the number-one spot in the Resistol Rookie Heeling standings and breaks into the top 50 in the PRCA world standings with $7,047.87 in total season earnings.
