The Notorious B I G has the stunning looks to go with his massive wins heeling steers.
The 2018 stallion was the 2022 ARHFA 4-Year-Old Open Heeling reserve champ and came back in ’23 to place third. He was also a top-five finisher at the AQHA World Show in Junior Heeling. Billie Jack Saebens piloted him to more than $110,000 in heeling alone.
“He’s freakishly good-minded and people are seeing that in his babies now, as well,” said owner Shane Boston. “He’s structurally appealing to a market that’s moving toward more bone and size and, of course, there’s that pedigree.”
Bigs is out of DT Sugar Chex Whiz, a leading rope-horse producer and the 2019 AQHA/PRCA Horse of the Year that was ridden to the National Finals Rodeo by Saebens. And Bigs is by CD Lights, a million-dollar producer in the NCHA and NRCHA.
A 3-year-old filly from his first foal crop hit pay dirt last February at Royal Crown Rapid City. Then, in November, Born This Wayy took Taylor Thompson to a top-10 finish in Limited 4-And-Under Heading at the Gold Buckle World Finals. She and the other oldest foals by Biggs are only 4 this year.
