Nickster sired the 2024 Canadian Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA) Head Horse of the Year in Tee McLeod’s gray gelding May Nick Kiss Her. The two have racked up more than $200,000 from the heading box, including last year winning the PRCA rodeo in Caldwell and placing at Salinas, Prescott, Livingston and Cody. McLeod has made two CFRs and last year he won or placed in four rounds to earn $24,416.

The versatile stallion is by As Good As Nick Gets that was by the NFR barrel horse Dr Nick Bar, crossed on an appendix mare going back to Triple Chick. On the bottom, he inherited even more running blood via Dash Ta Fame and Dr Kirk. That makes Nickster’s sire a paternal half-brother to two WPRA world champion barrel racing mares.

In Canada, Greg Cruthers is winning on Nicked By Honor, three different ropers have hit the pay window on A Nick Of Honor, and Kaden Richard placed ACrimeTaWearNickers seventh at the 2025 ARHFA World Championship Heading Futurity. Plus, Murray Linthicum rode Nicks Rockette to the WSTR Finale 13.5 reserve championship in 2023, worth $85,000 a man. And last season, Rhen Richard placed 4-year-old Merry A Nickidman deep at Royal Crown and Gold Buckle futurities.
