A venture born from the partnership and enthusiasm of two horse lovers, Ride the Rim Performance Horses’ lineup of top stallions features some of the industry’s best bloodlines, all managed by equine reproduction veterinarian Meredith Pierce, DVM, and Lori Lester.
“This started as my side passion, with one stallion—One Nation—and then Lori was like, ‘I want a stallion!’” Pierce explained. “So we bred a mare and had Lesters Live Wire. And we went from there. This started out as kind of fun, and now it’s an obsession.”
Today, Ride the Rim offers a diverse selection of outstanding stallions, offering crosses designed to produce winners for every type of mare.
Lesters Live Wire (stud fee: $1,250) combines the best of Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred racing bloodlines, effortlessly blending size and speed. Sired by the First Down Dash son, Rare News, the 17-hand sorrel stallion carries his dam, Ochoco Kitten’s size and augments any mare with his best traits.
A proven producer, Lesters Live Wire’s first foals are already 1D barrel racing winners including High On A Wire but also have the versatility for ranch work, roping and showing. Lesters Live Wire has produced exceptional colts with a kind disposition, good mind and athleticism to spare.
Lesters Live Wire will stand at Juniper Ridge Ranch in Terrebonne, Oregon, in 2026 and his foals are eligible for several incentives including the Ruby Buckle.

Something Epic (stud fee: $1,500, fresh, cooled and frozen semen) is a full sibling to NFR qualifier Kassie Mowry’s massive superstar Epic Guy and followed in his famous brother’s hoof prints with a $130,000-plus in lifetime earnings with João and Julia Leão, setting arena records along the way.
Sired by Epic Leader, Something Epic is out of the Frenchmans Guy mare Frenchilicious. The 2020 sorrel stallion is back in the Northwest for the 2026 breeding season.
