Since acquiring Bobby Glo Harlan, now 9, Dr. David Moss has been building upon the stallion’s already notable record.
He was bred by Benny and Susan Scarberry and trained by Bobby Lewis. Under Lewis’ tutelage, “Bobby Glo” notched several impressive wins, including the 2020 AQHA Jr Heeling world championship (under Joseph Harrison). Then he became the 2022 AQHA Reserve World Champion in Senior Heading, under Clay Lewis.
Bobby’s pedigree reads like a “Who’s Who” of the team roping industry. On the top side, a lot of this can be attributed to his second dam, the great mare Look At Her Glo. She produced his sire CSR Dual Glo, Dual Patron and J Lows Glo—all three being AQHA world champions in roping—plus Time To Glo (that earned $228,538 roping by the time he was 5) and the great working cow horse CSR Lay Down Sally.
Bobby Glo’s bottom side is just as impressive. His dam, Harlan’s Bobbi Jo, was considered by many to be a “once in a lifetime” horse. Earning 344 AQHA points, she was the Reserve High-Point Jr Heading and Jr Heeling champion. Her sire, Jodie Bob Harlan, has produced several great, athletic working horses and has carried on the legacy of Harlan.
“This stallion is living up to his remarkable heritage,” said Dr. Moss. “He’s proven himself to be a great athlete. And I’ve always heard the mark of a great stallion is that he produces horses as good or better than himself.”
Even at his young age, Bobby Glo has offspring already demonstrating his same promising attributes. As a new generation of talent gets ready to enter the arena, Dr. Moss’ mission is to continue Bobby Glo’s heritage through his progeny.
