National Western Stock Show Winners: Ty St. Goddard and Ryle Whitford

Ty St. Goddard and Ryle Whitford of Browning, Mont., took home the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo team roping championship Jan. 22 in Denver with a time of 16.2 seconds on three head.

The two hail from the Blackfoot Indian Reservation in Montana. The road to Denver wasn’t an easy one (literally) with challenges getting to the rodeo in the first place. Look for a feature story in our March issue, but for now, hear what these two young ropers have to say about the biggest win of their short careers.
