Roping.com gives you an exclusive look into the way the best in the world practice, and in 2022 we expanded the library even more. We’re adding new courses and coaches every week, so if you don’t see your favorites here, don’t worry.

1) Trevor Brazile & Miles Baker | Outdoor Futurity Horse Practice

Shot at Baker’s arena in Mountain Park, Oklahoma, before the 2021 American Rope Horse Futurity Association World Championship, this video is the ultimate equine eye-candy. Brazile and Baker tune up their futurity horses, including WND Affair, the horse that Joseph Harrison would win the World Championships on the following month.

2) Dustin Egusquiza & Travis Graves | Pre-NFR Practice Session

Dustin Egusquiza is the most explosive header in the world, and Travis Graves’ sure-shot heeling style is a fan favorite. Shot at Graves’ Bluffdale, Texas, arena, you can see both Egusquiza and Graves ride their very best mounts as well as up-and-comers as they work on consistency in their run.

Jeremy Buhler

3) Jeremy Buhler | New Heel Horse Practice Session

Before the 2022 season kicked into high gear, 2016 World Champion Jeremy Buhler was working through the kinks on a new, green heel horse. With Rhen Richard heading, Buhler worked through the finer points of adjusting to a new horse, including describing what he wants to change when he gets one, too.

4) Rhen Richard & Jeremy Buhler | Full Practice Session

Just two days before winning third at the 2022 BFI, Rhen Richard and Jeremy Buhler ran a day’s worth of steers for our cameras in Ardmore, Oklahoma. The hard-running steers paired well with Richard’s high-powered, full-throttle head horses, and Buhler’s signature keep-it-simple approach to heeling is clear on every run.

5) Cody Snow & Wesley Thorp | Full Practice Session

Cody Snow and Wesley Thorp are one of team roping’s most consistent teams, with a National Finals Rodeo average title already under their belts. Their practice program prioritizes making the types of runs that keep them catching…and catching…and catching some more. On futurity horses and seasoned rodeo mounts, Snow and Thorp prepare for competition in Thorp’s new Stephenville, Texas arena.
