The Score: Episode 2 with Trevor Brazile
The 23-time World Champion talks about being in the spotlight, horsemanship, the future of rodeo, how young ropers should manage their social media and more.

Trevor Brazile was in hot-contention for the Cinch Timed Event Championship this March when he and I sat down early one Sunday morning, before we headed to Cowboy Church at the Lazy E, to try this podcasting thing out.

There aren’t many guys I know I can text at 6:45 a.m. on a Sunday morning, bribing them with coffee in exchange for recording a conversation, but luckily, Trevor is one of those guys. So armed with the best gas-station cappuccino money could buy in Edmond, Oklahoma, I headed back to the Lazy E parking lot to sit down with Mr. Relentless himself.

He’d heard a few podcasts before–he and his driver listen to some Christian pods from time to time–so he was willing to give this conversation a try, even though neither of us had much practice in this medium.

We cover a wide range of topics, but if you listen to the end, you’ll hear my favorite of Trevor’s insights from that day, on his favorite topic, social media:

“You should be roping this and roping that instead of posting this and posting that.”

So tune in and give it a listen, and don’t be afraid to leave a review afterward so more people can find The Score on iTunes and SoundCloud. We want to hear what you think, too, as we grow in this venture. Shoot me an email at cshaffer@aimmedia.com if you’ve got any feedback!
