AR Metallic Man, a gelding by Metallic Cat out of Stylish Lizzie, is the highest-earning horse in any roping futurity division this year at $84,028, under Kollin VonAhn, who owns him in partnership with Chris Pomeroy. Rebel X, a son of Metallic Rebel out of Flash About, is next among heeling horses at $75,094, ridden by Hunter Koch for X Performance Horses (but VonAhn will pilot him in Utah with Koch rodeoing).
In the heading, RR Gunners Affair, by Gunners Special Nite, leads at $68,288, ridden by Trevor Brazile for Jerad Wittwer, ahead of A Relentless Buzz at $65,803, also ridden by Brazile. Heel horses account for seven of the 10 highest single-division earnings across all roping events.
