SIRE: Gallo Del Cielo
DAM: Dolittle Lena by Shining Spark

Bred, raised and trained by the famed Bobby Lewis, one of the winningest trainers in history across team roping and reined cow horse competition, the 2015 stallion Cielo Shine “Rooster” has always been destined for greatness.

His sire was the outstanding Gallo Del Cielo and his dam was Dolittle Lena by the late, great Shining Spark. Lewis trained him as a cow horse—as he does all his horses—putting all the critical fundamentals into the stud before ever stepping into the roping pen.

“Rooster has a great mind and is so quiet that some don’t realize he’s a stallion,” Lewis said. “He has an elegance about him and a big heart, always willing to do what you ask of him.”

With 168.5 AQHA points, Cielo Shine was the 2021 Houston Livestock Show Champion in the Open Heeling, the 2020 AQHA Reserve World Champion in the Open Heeling, the 2020 Dixie National Reserve Champion in the Open Heeling, the 2020 Oil Can Classic Reserve Champion in the Limited Heading and the 2019 Fort Worth Stock Show Champion in the Open Heeling. In February, Cielo Shine will compete in the World’s Greatest Horsewoman in Arizona with Samantha Robbins.
