NFR 2020 Steer Report: Round 7
This will be the first pen of cattle to go three times—the same cattle we watched in Rounds 1 and 4. Billy Bob Brown gives us his take.

Cody Snow and Junior Nogueira: 833

Dustin Egusquiza ran him in Round 4. They were 4.1 plus five, and he’s tough to heel. Charly Crawford and Logan Medlin also took a no-time on the heel side in Round 1 on this steer. 

Clay Smith and Jade Corkill: 538

Andrew Ward and Buddy Hawkins had him and were 6.2. He was sharp and down the middle. Paul Eaves missed him in Round 1. 

Luke Brown and Joseph Harrison: 838

This is the steer Cody Snow missed, but Brenten Hall and Chase Tryan were 5.2 on in Round 1. He was sharp and a step to the right. 

Brenten Hall and Chase Tryan: 840

Luke Brown ran him and was 4.8. He was sharp and down the middle. Nelson Wyatt and Levi Lord were 6.8 on him in Round 1. 

Kolton Schmidt and Hunter Koch: 713

Nelson Wyatt and Levi Lord were 4.8 on this steer, and he’s sharp and straight. Clay Smith and Jade Corkill ran him in Round 1 to be 5.1.

Jeff Flenniken and Tyler Worley: 824

This steer turned his head in the chute when Charly nodded and went left pretty hard [in Round 4]. He’s medium-plus. Chad Masters missed this steer in Round 1. 

Nelson Wyatt and Levi Lord: 711

Levi Simpson and Shay Carroll made a 4.9-second run on him in Round 4. He was good and sharp and stepped left. This is the steer Kolton Schmidt missed in Round 1. 

Erich Rogers and Paden Bray: 768

Jeff Flenniken and Tyler Worley were a 5.6 on this steer in Round 4 and he was sharp and down the middle. Jake Long missed this steer in Round 1. 

Chad Masters and Wesley Thorp: 829

Clay Tryan and Jake Long had this steer—he’s the runner, but they were 4.8 on him and made a great run. He’s a great steer. Andrew Ward headed him in Round 1, but they were a No-Time on the backside. 

Charly Crawford and Logan Medlin: 826

This is the steer Colby and Paul got flagged out on [in Round 4]. He checks off when the head rope goes on, but he’s an outstanding steer. He was an extra. 

Levi Simpson and Shay Carroll: 712

This is a steer Kolton Schmidt missed in Round 4, but Erich Rogers and Paden Bray won the go-round on in Round 1. He’s sharp and steps left. 

Clay Tryan and Jake Long: 822

Clay Smith and Jade Corkill were 3.9 plus 5 on this steer [in Round 4], and he’s sharp and down the middle. Egusquiza and Graves were 4.9 to win second in Round 1 on him.

Andrew Ward and Buddy Hawkins: 825

Erich Rogers and Paden Bray ran this steer [in Round 4], and he was sharp and down the middle. They were 4.6 plus 5. Cody Snow and Junior Nogueira were 5.7 on him in Round 1. 

Dustin Egusquiza and Travis Graves: 821

Chad Masters ran this steer in Round 4 and was 4.9. He’s straight and down the middle.

Colby Lovell and Paul Eaves: 834

Erich Rogers and Paden Bray ran him in Round 4 and got a leg to be 4.6 + 5. He’s sharp and down the middle. TRJ
