Relentless Honor and Miles Baker
The Flag Ranch-raised daughter of One Time Honor out of the Smooth As A Cat daughter All Time Smooth Cat scored a 609.99 to win $7,120 for the Remuda. She also won the Flag Ranch $864 as the owners of One Time Honor and another $576 as the breeders.
“I told Trevor (Brazile) a few days ago that the brown mare’s gonna win the show,” Baker said of Relentless Honor. “She’s cold-blooded. Her exceptional performance speaks volumes about her training and her innate abilities. It’s a testament to her talent and her readiness to rise to the occasion on the biggest stage…The 4-year-old is what pumps me up because… you see who’s been putting in the work the last 18 months. It’s a testament to our dedication and commitment to the craft, to see the fruits of our labor showcased in such a competitive arena. It’s a reminder that hard work truly does pay off in the end.”

The mare is one of two that Baker and partner Trevor Brazile bought early in their 2-year-old year from Larry and Bobbie Rice’s Flag Ranch. The other, Relentless PYC, won fourth in the same roping with a leg in the third round.
“We’ve dang sure had some good ones now, and I think those two mares, they’re special,” Baker said. “Their performance today was just a glimpse of their potential and what they can achieve in the future. It’s a promising sign for what’s to come in our training program. The pressure doesn’t bother them. Their resilience and composure under pressure make them valuable assets in our lineup. It’s a confidence boost knowing that we can rely on them to deliver when it matters most.”
Relentless Weekend
Baker won the 4-&-Under Heeling on Dasco Cattle’s Lil Bit O Cash and the 6-&-Under Heading on Sevens Hank 2, while 2016 PRCA World Champion Jeremy Buhler jump-rode Relentless Remuda stallion Pride And Joyy for the 6-&-Under Heeling win. Two-time World Champion Heeler Paul Eaves also hopped on Remuda gelding Gunners Nite Train to win the Royal Crown’s $20,000-added Open.
“Just mentally, I carried a lot of weight into this week,” Baker admitted. “To show up out here and sweep every class of the open, it was a sigh of relief. Knowing that all the effort and preparation paid off, it’s a feeling like no other. It’s validation for the countless hours spent honing our skills and perfecting our craft.” TRJ
